PGA West to Old Town — gated golf communities and seasonal moves, timed right.
La Quinta is gate country — PGA West, The Citrus, Rancho La Quinta — and moving here is 10% muscle, 90% logistics done ahead of time. We get on the gate list, email the COI, and learn the cart-path shortcuts to your cul-de-sac before the truck ever leaves the hi-desert.
Timing matters more in La Quinta than most places. Snowbird arrivals stack up from October, and festival season in neighboring Indio can turn April weekends into gridlock. We schedule around both — early starts, weekday moves when you can swing them, and honest advice about which dates to avoid.
PGA West alone has multiple gates and its own rhythm. We confirm which gate, get the pass sorted, and arrive early — long interior drives mean the distance from gate to door can add real minutes if you don't plan it.
Coachella and Stagecoach weekends clog Washington, Jefferson and Madison. If your April move can dodge those weekends, we'll steer you to the quiet dates; if it can't, we start at 6am and beat the traffic to the door.
Half our La Quinta calls are second homes: furniture into storage in May, out of storage in October, a casita refurnished for renters in between. We keep it on schedule even when you're managing it from out of state.
Yes — we handle the gate arrangements and COI ahead of time. Tell us the community and gate when you book and move day starts at your door, not at the guard shack.
If you can, yes — the festival traffic on the east valley arterials is real. We'll help you pick a date around it, or start at 6am and be loaded before the traffic wakes up.
We do it for seasonal residents every year. Coordinate keys through your property manager or a neighbor, and we'll send photos of the loaded rooms and placed furniture so you can see it done.
